Baldvin Freysteinsson has a strong background in finance and accounting, with experience in various roles and industries. From 2017 to present, they have been working at Verne Global as a Finance Controller, where they oversee consolidation reporting for multiple companies and countries, prepares financial statements, and manages day-to-day finance operations. Prior to that, Baldvin worked as a Group Consolidation Manager at Actavis plc (now Allergan) from 2014 to 2017, where they were responsible for reporting, analysis, and communication with subsidiaries. Baldvin also has experience as the Head of Financial Planning and Analysis at LazyTown Entertainment from 2011 to 2014, and as an Audit Manager at KPMG from 2005 to 2011, where they worked on auditing, accounting, and tax procedures.
Baldvin Freysteinsson obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Háskóli Íslands, which they attended from 2001 to 2005. During the same period, they also pursued a Cand. Oecon. degree in Accounting and Finance from Háskóli Íslands. In 2010, Baldvin obtained a certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from FLE - Félag löggiltra endurskoðenda.
