Mark Scherer

Mark Scherer has a diverse work experience in software engineering and development. Mark started their career in 1998 as a QA Engineer at CSG Systems and then worked at 911 Inc. as a Sr. Software Engineer from 2000 to 2011. Following that, they joined Spatial Info as a Senior Software Engineer from 2011 to 2013. Mark then worked at Comtech Telecommunications Corp. as a Senior Software Developer from 2013 to 2017, and at Comtech Enterprise Technologies as a Lead Software Developer from 2017 to 2018. Currently, they are working at Vertafore as a Senior Software Engineer and Team Lead, where they lead an agile dev/QA team and develops SOAP and RESTful API's for a cloud application, using Web API2. Mark also focuses on client and server-side performance improvements.

Mark Scherer holds a Ph.D. in Biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a B.A. in Biology from Northwestern University. Mark has also obtained various certifications, including "Programming Foundations: Web Security," "Programming Foundations: Secure Coding," "Microservices: Design Patterns," "Giving and Receiving Feedback," "SQL Server Performance for Developers," "HTML Essential Training," "Artificial Intelligence Foundations: Machine Learning," and "C#: Design Patterns" from LinkedIn.
