Hector Sanchez Pajares has extensive work experience starting in 2002 as a Systems Administrator for Hewlett Packard. Hector was a self-employed Front-end Developer for goto20.com before becoming the Interactive Director and Head of the Interactive Department at DoubleYou in 2006, working with clients such as Nike and Audi. Starting in 2009, they became the Interaction R&D Director at Aer - visual studio, where they focused on new concepts for UX and UI for digital and physical platforms. From 2013 to 2014, they taught at IED and in 2009, they began teaching at the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia until 2012 teaching data visualization and graphics programming. From 2017 to 2019, they were a Principal Software Engineer at HERE Research working on ideation and innovation projects related to topics such as IoT, Smart Cities, and big data. Hector was then a member of the Automotive Design team at HERE Technologies and later became the Technical Lead for the Engineering team developing the Design System for HERE Technologies portfolio including platforms such as Flutter, Angular, React, Vue, Svelte, and Lit in addition to integration between Figma and code through API automations. Starting in 2023, they became a Senior Software Engineer at Ververica where they continue to work.

Hector Sanchez Pajares earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from the Universidad de Extremadura between 1995 and 2000. In addition to their undergraduate studies, they received certification in the Self-Driving Car Engineer program from Udacity in December of 2017 and completed the Deep Learning Specialization course at Coursera in February of 2020.
