Jaime López is a seasoned marketing professional with extensive experience in various leadership roles across multiple organizations. Currently serving as the Head of Marketing at Ververica, the original creators of Apache Flink®, Jaime has previously held positions such as Senior Director of Marketing Operations and Director of Content & Marketing Operations at Aiven. With a strong background in digital acceleration and sales enablement, Jaime also contributed as General Manager, Marketing Operations for Wärtsilä's Marine Business. Additionally, Jaime was a collaborating author for Salesforce Ben and led marketing efforts at Sharper Shape Inc. Jaime holds a MicroMasters Program in Statistics and Data Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Master of Science in Energy Engineering with a specialization in Nuclear Engineering from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.

Ververica is headquartered in Berlin, Germany.They started data Artisans (now Ververica) because they saw the need for a large-scale data processing technology that is open source and at the same time properly rooted in long-testedprinciples and architectures from the database and distributed systems fields.From the very beginning, they developed Apache Flink® in the open source, and they witnessed and led Flink’s rapid community growth and industry adoption. Ververica provides Ververica Platform, with open source Apache Flink and Application Manager, to the enterprise. Ververica Platform enables high-throughput and low-latency solutions for event-driven applications.
