Jewell Simms Jr.

Jewell Simms Jr. has extensive experience in technology and diversity roles, currently serving as the Associate Director of Technology at Veterans United Home Loans since April 2016. Previously, Jewell held multiple positions including Technology Manager and Associate Director of Diversity and Inclusion. Prior to joining Veterans United, Jewell worked at Shelter Insurance Companies for over 14 years in various capacities, including IS Analyst, Senior Programmer, and Support Center Analyst, with a focus on Lotus Notes and Domino infrastructure as well as mobile device management. Jewell began the professional journey in the insurance industry as a Claims Adjuster. Jewell holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science from the University of Missouri-Columbia, obtained in 2001.
