Matt Volkert

Matt Volkert is an experienced legal and strategic professional, currently serving as Chief Strategy Officer at Veterans United Home Loans since June 2013. Prior to this role, Volkert held the position of Counsel in the General Counsel's Office at the University of Missouri System from November 2009 to May 2013, and was an Attorney/Shareholder at Van Matre, Harrison, Volkert, and Hollis, P.C. between October 2002 and October 2009. Early legal experience includes working as an Associate at Jones Day from September 1999 to September 2002, and serving as a Law Clerk to Chief Justice Duane Benton at the Supreme Court of Missouri from August 1998 to August 1999. Volkert earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Michigan Law School and a Bachelor of Science in Business and Economics from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
