Albert Tovar

Albert Tovar is an accomplished attorney with extensive experience in providing legal counsel across various sectors. Currently serving as an Attorney in the Office of General Counsel at VIA Metropolitan Transit since November 2019, Albert delivers general legal counsel to administration and staff. Previously, Albert worked at Sanchez & Wilson from 2009 to November 2019, advising school districts, municipalities, and other local governmental entities, while also representing clients in commercial, contract, personal injury, discrimination, and employment-related claims. Earlier in the career at Shelton & Valadez, P.C. from 1999 to 2006, Albert focused on litigation for corporate and individual clients. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Law (JD) from The University of Texas at Austin School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Political Science and Government from The University of Texas at San Antonio.
