Michael Parks has extensive work experience in the software engineering field. Micheal started their career as a New Media Web Developer at the University of Central Florida in 2012. Micheal then worked at Pixbi as a Lead Frontend Developer, where they led the development of Javascript applications embedded in iOS apps and blogs.
In 2015, Michael joined MongoDB as a Software Engineer and later became a Lead Software Engineer. In this role, they led the development team responsible for building mongodb.com and an internal MongoDB-backed CMS. Micheal also mentored engineers and worked on various engineering projects within the marketing team.
In 2021, Michael joined Bowery Farming as a Senior Software Engineer, where they established code standards, design patterns, and helped grow a Frontend engineering culture for BoweryOS. Micheal mentored engineers, set up tools and practices to improve reliability and developer experience.

Michael Parks attended the University of Central Florida from 2008 to 2013 and pursued a degree in Biology. Micheal also minored in Computer Science and Psychology during their time there. From 2017 to 2020, Michael Parks enrolled in Brooklyn College where they took Mathematics courses, although they did not complete a degree.
