Erik Bliss is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in compliance and general counsel roles, currently serving as Vice President and Chief Compliance Counsel at Viasat Inc. since July 2013. Previous positions include Vice President and General Counsel for Broadband Services and Associate General Counsel at the same company. Prior to Viasat, Erik was a Partner at Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton LLP, specializing in commercial litigation with a focus on consumer issues, antitrust, and class actions, from April 2005 to June 2013. Erik also held positions as Special Counsel and Of Counsel at Latham & Watkins LLP and served as a Law Clerk for Hon. Joseph M. McLaughlin at the U.S. Court of Appeals. Educational qualifications include a JD from Vanderbilt University Law School and a BA from Dartmouth College.
