Flemington Racecourse has established itself as one of the most versatile venues in Australia. The Victoria Racing Club is governed by a Board of Directors who are elected by the members and the Club employs over 200 permanent staff year round. These staff work across many different core departments to support racing and events in the background all the way through to our Tracks, Trades and Gardens team who ensure Flemington is in pristine condition for any given race day or event. Additional support roles are appointed on a contract basis for the lead up to and during the Melbourne Cup Carnival and a sizeable event-based workforce is employed throughout the year.
