Michael Ward has a strong background in finance and audit. Michael started their career at Andersen in 1999 as a trainee auditor and transitioned to Deloitte when the two companies merged. At Deloitte, they worked as a Senior Manager for 12 years, leading cross-functional audit teams and managing various responsibilities. In 2013, Michael joined Victrex as the Group Financial Controller, overseeing external reporting, tax, and treasury responsibilities. Michael'srole expanded to include management of overseas teams, manufacturing, and supply chain partnering, as well as FP&A and commercial support. In December 2020, Michael was promoted to Finance Director at Victrex, taking on the responsibility of improving internal systems, controls, processes, and accountability. Michael manages the finance function, delivers external reporting requirements, and provides timely financial information and analysis to the senior leadership team and Board. Throughout their career, Michael has demonstrated expertise in financial management, audit, and project management.

Michael Ward attended The University of Manchester from 1996 to 1999, where they earned a BA(econ)(Hons) in Economics. Michael also achieved first time passes at ICAEW, where they were the regional prize winner. Before attending university, Michael completed their A Levels in Mathematics, Physics, and Economics at King Edwards School in Bath.
