The Vietnamese American Community in Iowa, Inc. is organized exclusively for charitable, educational and cultural purposes within the meaning of Section of 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Its mission is to preserve and enrich Vietnamese cultural heritage through educational initiatives; promote cross-cultural activities and foster mutual understanding and cooperation between the Vietnamese American Community in Iowa with other communities and cooperate with other Vietnamese organizations in unified actions for the benefits of the Vietnamese community in the state of Iowa.

Phương Châm Làm Việc: 
Cộng đồng người Mỹ gốc Việt ở Iowa được tổ chức dành riêng cho mục đích từ thiện, giáo dục và văn hóa trong ý nghĩa của mục 501 (c) (3) của Bộ Luật Thuế Vụ. Phương châm làm việc là bảo vệ và làm giàu di sản văn hóa Việt Nam qua các công tác giáo dục; thúc đẩy các hoạt động giao lưu văn hóa, tăng cường hiểu biết và hợp tác giữa cộng đồng người Mỹ gốc Việt ở Iowa với các cộng đồng bạn và hợp tác với các tổ chức khác của người Việt qua những hành động thống nhất với nhau vì lợi ích chung của cộng đồng người Việt tại tiểu bang Iowa.
