Richard van der Put has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Richard began their career as a Management Assistant at Nu Skin Enterprises in 1995. Richard then pursued their education and worked as an Internship at Chalmers University of Technology in 2004. Following this, they joined Eindhoven University of Technology as an MSc. student from 2003 to 2005.

In 2005, Richard worked as a Researcher in Medical Image Analysis at UMC Utrecht until 2009. During this time, they also held the position of Treasurer at Promovendi Overleg Utrecht from 2005 to 2008.

Richard's next role was Vice President of Innovation at Halifax Biomedical Inc. from 2009 to 2013.

In 2012, Richard became a Co-founder & CTO of SkySquirrel Technologies Inc., a Canadian start-up developing drone-based imaging technology for monitoring crop health. Richard held this role until 2015 when they took on the position of CEO at VineView, a company they remain with till the present.

Richard van der Put attended Eindhoven University of Technology from 1999 to 2005, where they obtained a Masters of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering. In 2004, they also briefly attended Chalmers University of Technology, although no specific degree or field of study is mentioned.
