Nathan Koppel

Nathan Koppel is an experienced communications professional currently serving as the Director of Communications at Vinson & Elkins since August 2023, leading a team focused on conveying the firm’s evolving narrative. Prior to this role, Nathan held various positions at Haynes and Boone, LLP from September 2015 to July 2023, including Director of Media Relations and Manager of Communications, where responsibilities encompassed media strategy and content creation. Nathan's career includes significant journalism experience as a staff reporter for The Wall Street Journal, where over 500 articles were published, and as a senior reporter for ALM Media, LLC. Early legal experience was obtained as an Associate Attorney at Fulbright & Jaworski. Nathan holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from The University of Texas School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in semiotics from Brown University.
