Pedro Calgaro

Pedro Calgaro has a comprehensive work experience starting from their role as a Software Developer at Shape Web Agência de Internet in 2010. Pedro built various websites, including e-commerce platforms, online mail, and marketplaces using technologies such as PHP, Javascript, HTML, CSS, and SEO concepts. In 2012, Pedro joined Jera as a Software Developer, where they developed APIs for mobile apps and JavaScript clients. Pedro also created TCP and UDP gateways to communicate with hardware using Node. In 2016, Pedro joined Skore as a Senior Software Engineer, contributing to the development and maintenance of an SaaS platform and a Slack Bot called Paperbot. Pedro focused on scalability, decoupling a monolith API into microservices, and improving infrastructure and deployment processes. Pedro then joined FindHotel as a Senior Software Engineer, responsible for building and designing the engine to distribute rates to Meta Search partners. Pedro faced challenges in high-load systems, caching management, asynchronous communication, and DevOps. In 2019, Pedro became the Engineering Lead of the Offers squad, ensuring product quality, managing team performance, and contributing to the system's architecture. Currently, Pedro is a Senior Engineering Manager at Vio.com, leading multiple teams and supporting their growth as leaders. Pedro also focuses on improving engineering processes, facilitating cross-squad projects, defining team boundaries, and providing performance evaluations and constructive feedback.

Pedro Calgaro attended the Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso do Sul from 2012 to 2016, where they pursued a degree in System Analysis with a field of study in Computer Software Engineering.
