VIP COMMUNITY SERVICES
Susan Terrell Thomas joined VIP Community Services in December 2020 as Program Director at the 716 Residence.
Ms. Thomas began working with special populations in 1992 at Edgecombe Correctional Facility where she taught GED classes to probationers. Through this experience she made it her personal and professional mission to assist and encourage men and women to realize that their past does not dictate their future. She has worked in the field of addiction for over 21 years and the last 14 years at Cornerstone of Medical Arts as the Clinical Director of Rehabilitation Services.
Early on, Ms. Thomas was exposed to culturally-competent care and throughout her professional career she developed programs, created curriculums, and provided necessary training skills to address the needs of all special populations and provide clinical skills to other professionals in the addiction and social service field.
