Jose Luis Garcia Ortiz

Jose Luis Garcia Ortiz has over 30 years of extensive experience in quality management and regulatory affairs within the pharmaceutical and animal health industries. Currently serving as the Director of Quality and Security at Virbac since November 2011, Jose Luis leads quality and HSE operations for a manufacturing plant in Mexico, ensuring compliance with international health regulations. Previously, at Becton, Dickinson and Company, Jose Luis held multiple leadership roles, overseeing quality operations across several manufacturing plants and managing a budget of $200 million USD. Jose Luis began a career at Schering-Plough Research Institute and Pfizer, where responsibilities included developing pharmaceutical dosage forms and managing quality systems. Jose Luis holds a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from Universidad de Guadalajara, along with diplomas in Managerial Skills from both Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México and Tecnológico de Monterrey.
