Amy Wight

Amy Wight currently serves as a Senior Policy Analyst in the Governance & Legislative Affairs Division at the Virginia Department of Transportation, a position held since September 2021. Previously, Wight was the Assistant Secretary of Transportation for the Commonwealth of Virginia, focusing on policy communications to support a multi-modal transportation system. Additional experience includes roles such as Director of Employee Success at Advanced Patient Advocacy, where Wight implemented employee engagement strategies, and Director of the Gang Reduction & Intervention Program at the Virginia Office of the Attorney General. Wight holds a Master of Public Administration degree from the L. Douglas Wilder School of Government and Public Affairs and a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations and Italian Studies from Wellesley College.
