Glib Maznyi

Glib Maznyi, MSc, is an accomplished Associate Scientist at Virica Biotech since September 2023, where leadership in developing a high-throughput drug screening platform has resulted in significant company IP data and the successful patenting and commercialization of novel compounds. Prior experience includes a role as Research Technician at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute from May 2019 to September 2023, focusing on drug screening and therapeutic potential in cancer treatment, and a position at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, where contributions involved quantifying plant metabolites and enhancing crop resilience. Glib also served as a Laboratory Technologist at Algonquin College, overseeing laboratory equipment and student training, and gained early experience as a Laboratory Technician at the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. Educational credentials include a Master's degree in Microbiology and Immunology from the University of Ottawa and an Ontario College Advanced Diploma in Biotechnology from Algonquin College.
