Brooke Danielsson, PhD, is a dedicated research scientist currently employed at Virscio since April 2023. As the founder and director of Engineering Practices in Color, established in May 2018, Brooke has developed an outreach program that delivers multi-sensory STEM activities to middle school students with dyslexia, creating a structured curriculum that includes over 20 lesson plans for workshops attended by more than 400 students. Previous experience includes serving as a postdoctoral research scientist at Yale University School of Medicine and a Ph.D. student in Biomedical Engineering at Virginia Commonwealth University, where research focused on cell mechanics. Additional roles included teaching STEM fundamentals at Engineering For Kids and conducting research at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Brooke holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from New York Institute of Technology.
