María González G.J has a diverse work experience in the field of visual effects and compositing. María currently holds the role of Lead Visual Effects Artist at VirTra since January 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Visual Effects & Compositing Artist/Trainer at VirTra from August 2018 to January 2022.

Before joining VirTra, María worked as a Freelance Visual Effects Artist since September 2012.

María also gained experience as a MatchMover Artist at Ollin VFX from October 2014 to July 2015 and as a Compositor at Lemon Films from April 2014 to September 2014.

Additionally, María's past roles include working as a Postproduction artist at RenderFarm from March 2013 to April 2014.

María began their career through internships as a Compositing, Animation, and Modeling Intern at Combat Astronauts, LLC from September 2012 to December 2012, and as an Intern at The Asylum from June 2012 to September 2012. These internships involved working on feature films for television, completing shots under tight deadlines, and performing various responsibilities such as compositing, tracking, modeling, texturing, and matte painting.

María González G.J's education history consists of a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from Universidad Autonoma de Queretaro, which they obtained from 2006 to 2011. María then pursued an Associate's degree in Digital Animation and Visual Effects at The DAVE School from 2011 to 2012. Recently, from 2018 to 2019, they completed a Master's degree in Film/Cinema/Video Studies at Centro de Cultura Casa Lamm, A.C.
