Hussain Shabbir

Hussain Shabbir is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in cloud services and software engineering. Currently serving as the Senior Principal Architect and Global Head of the AWS Team at Virtusa since June 2014, Hussain is responsible for leading the Global AWS Center of Excellence, focusing on strategy, solutions, best practices, and revenue generation. Prior to this role, Hussain held significant positions including Chief Technology Officer and Head of Operations at Aeturnum, where responsibilities included formulating technical vision and advancing software engineering practices. Hussain also has teaching experience as a visiting lecturer at the Informatics Institute of Technology and the University of Colombo School of Computing. Beginning a career in software engineering as a trainee at OPRO Lanka, Hussain progressed through various roles at Virtusa and Siemens Energy & Automation, showcasing a strong trajectory in the tech industry. Hussain holds a BSc (Hons) in Information Systems from The Manchester Metropolitan University.
