Vision Engineering
Ian Marshall has a strong background in optical design engineering. Ian began their career at Cooke Optics in 2007, where they designed the 5/1 range of lenses and played a significant role in the development of the mini S4s. Ian then moved to Bae Systems in 2011, where they worked as a Principal Optical Design Engineer. In this role, they focused on system design, lens design for HMDs and miniaturized night vision devices, and optical system design for DMD projectors. Ian joined Vision Engineering Ltd in 2016 as a Senior Research Design Engineer, where they currently work.
Ian Marshall obtained their Master's Degree in Physics (Bsc) and Applied Optics from Imperial College London between 1973 and 1976.
