Rob Gillette currently serves as the General Manager of Renaissance Austin and has held this position since 2006. In addition to this role, Rob is the Chairman of the Visit Austin Board of Directors & Visit Austin Foundation, as well as the Chairman of the Austin Marriott Business Council. Since 2015, Rob has also participated in the General Manager Advisory Council for Marriott International. Previous managerial roles include General Manager at Austin Marriott at the Capitol, Denver Marriott Southeast, and San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter/Riverwalk. Rob's career began with Marriott International in various food and beverage leadership roles from 1992 to 1999. Rob is an alumnus of The University of Texas at Austin.
