Steve Genovesi has extensive work experience in the tourism and hospitality industry. Steve started their career in 1985 at Marriott International as the Director of Sales and Marketing, where they worked until 2003. Steve then joined the Chattanooga Convention and Visitors Bureau in 2004 as the VP of Sales and Marketing, a position they held until 2011. In 2011, they joined Visit Austin as the Senior VP of Sales and Services, and later became the Executive Vice President in 2017.
Steve Genovesi attended the University of Georgia from 1981 to 1983, where they studied Business Administration and Management, with a focus on General subjects. Steve later attended Georgia State University from 1983 to 1985, earning their Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel, Restaurant, and Travel.
