Matt Carter has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and companies. Matt started their career as a Credit Analyst at INB National Bank in 1982 and worked there until 1985. In 1985, they joined Visit Indy as the Vice President of Finance & Administration. In this role, they were responsible for financial management and administration. In 2003, they transitioned to the role of Vice President of Strategic Development at Visit Indy, where they focused on developing and implementing strategic plans. In 2008, they took on the position of Executive Director and Vice President of Music, Arts & Culture at Visit Indy, leading initiatives in these areas. Additionally, they became the Vice President, Market Intelligence at Visit Indy in 2010. Since 2014, they have held the position of Vice President of Destination Development at Visit Indy, where they continue to contribute to the organization's growth and development.
Matt Carter attended Ball State University - Miller College of Business from 1979 to 1982. Matt obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Accounting. Additionally, they participated in the Indianapolis Public Safety Citizen's Academy, although the specific dates and degree field are unknown.
