Senior MD & President, Vista Public Strategies at Vista Equity Partners

James Ford joined Vista Equity Partners in 2000 and is a Senior Managing Director and President of Vista Public Strategies (“VPS”). Mr. Ford helped found and currently manages VPS. In addition, Mr. Ford is a member of the VPS Advisory Board and Vista’s Compliance Committee. Previously, Mr. Ford served as Vista’s Chief Operating Officer and as President of Vista Credit Partners. Mr. Ford was also actively involved in Vista Private Equity Funds’ investments in Accero, Aspect Communications, DealerSocket, Misys, P2 Energy Solutions, TIBCO, Turaz, Websense, Ventyx, SER, SourceNet Solutions, SRC Software and The ACTIVE Network.

Prior to joining Vista, Mr. Ford worked in the Mergers and Acquisitions group of Goldman, Sachs & Co., where he advised clients in a variety of industries, including consumer products, chemicals, energy and power, and media. In addition to his work at Vista, Mr. Ford also serves as a Board member of SquashDrive and of the Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco.
