Harlan Young

Harlan Young is an experienced software engineer currently working at Visual Concepts since March 2006, focusing on character graphics for the NBA 2K series, with prior work involving game audio systems and video compression for online sharing. Previous roles include serving as a secondary school teacher in science and mathematics with the Peace Corps in Malawi from October 2003 to December 2005, and working as a teaching assistant at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where responsibilities included lecturing in theoretical computer science and C++ programming. Harlan also has experience as a software engineer at Ricoh from March 1998 to July 2000. Harlan holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor's degree in Physics from the University of California, Berkeley.
