Jonathan Hirshowitz

Jonathan Hirshowitz has a diverse range of work experience in software engineering and management roles. Jonathan has worked at Visual Lease as a Software Engineer, where they were responsible for maintaining and improving legacy code and creating new MicroServices. Jonathan also managed code reviews, defects, and onboarding new developers.

As a Mobile Engineer at The Child Center of NY, they designed and developed Android applications using Java and React Native. Jonathan successfully deployed apps on Google Play for internal use.

Jonathan previously worked as a Production Manager at Yellow Restoration, where they managed remediation and rebuild projects in both residential and commercial buildings. Their duties included conducting site visits, assessing scope, preparing job estimates, and coordinating multiple work teams.

Jonathan also gained experience as a Software Developer at Great Eastern Energy, where they worked on a cloud-based ESCO management software solution using HTML, CSS, jQuery, JavaScript, and Backbone.

Furthermore, Jonathan worked as a Software Developer at KBS, a global advertising agency, collaborating with teams on marketing websites for BMW USA and Windstream. Jonathan used AEM, JSF, and Spring Java for website components and ASP for the back end.

Before entering the private sector, Jonathan served in the Israel Defense Forces as an Electronic Engineer and Commanding Officer. Jonathan led a team in the development and testing of prototype electronic military equipment, utilizing expertise in integrated circuits, PCB designing, and microchip programming.

In addition, Jonathan completed an intensive software development training at Group H Network, focusing on full-stack development, databases, and object-oriented programming. Jonathan successfully developed web applications with UI, business, and data-access layers.

Jonathan Hirshowitz obtained their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Lev Academic Center from the year 2005 to 2010. In 2019, they completed an Advanced Software Development Bootcamp. In 2020, Jonathan Hirshowitz earned a Certificate in AWS Cloud Practitioner and Architecture from Queensborough Community College of The City University of New York (CUNY). Additionally, they hold certifications from Oracle as an Oracle Certified Associate, Java SE 8 Programmer obtained in March 2019, and from Amazon Web Services (AWS) as an AWS Certified Developer – Associate obtained in October 2022 and as an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner obtained in January 2021.
