Chinmay Pangarkar

Chinmay Pangarkar is an accomplished professional in systems engineering and technology development, currently serving as the Head of Systems Engineering at Vital Bio since March 2022. Previously, Chinmay held the position of Chief Technology Officer at Toi Labs, where expertise was applied to create the first prototype of a smart toilet system integrating optics, machine learning, and IoT for health and wellness applications. Spanning nearly a decade at a private technology company, responsibilities ranged from Senior Scientist to Principal Architect and Head of Assay R&D. Additionally, experience includes developing predictive biosimulations for the pharmaceutical industry as a Biosystems Engineer at Entelos, and conducting research on neural stem cells as a Post Doctoral researcher at Lawrence Berkeley National Labs. Chinmay Pangarkar holds a Ph.D. in Chemical and Bioengineering from UC Santa Barbara and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Mumbai, with a specialty in mathematical modeling and cardiovascular diseases.
