Carissa Faulkner is a seasoned professional in business development with extensive experience in securing federal funding, particularly with USAID. Currently serving as Senior Advisor at Vital Strategies since December 2020, Carissa leads the federal funding strategy, oversees capture planning, and manages proposals within the Data Impact Programs and the Environmental, Climate, and Urban Health Division. Previous roles include Senior Manager and Business Development Manager, where Carissa supported technical teams in partnership diversification and proposal management. Carissa's background includes significant contributions to ChildFund International, OECD, and various international organizations, focusing on proposal development and strategic fundraising initiatives. Carissa holds a Master’s Degree in Economics and International Project Management from Université Paris-Est Créteil and a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from Christopher Newport University.
