Vital Strategies
Dave Lucas is a seasoned professional in social work and addiction therapy with extensive experience in various roles. Currently serving as a Senior Technical Advisor in Overdose Prevention at Vital Strategies since February 2023, Dave previously held the position of Clinical Advisor at the Center for Justice Innovation from November 2018 to February 2023. This organization is dedicated to enhancing justice system efficacy through research and reform initiatives. Prior to that, Dave worked as a Social Worker and Therapist in the Toronto Drug Treatment Court Program at CAMH from June 2011 to November 2018. Additionally, Dave contributed to academia as a Course Director and Adjunct Lecturer at York University and the University of Toronto. Educational qualifications include a Master of Social Work from York University and a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Winnipeg.
