This is a contract/freelance role with the opportunity to shape our service offering, work closely with SaaS customers, and act as both a technical expert and strategic consultant. Strong communication and consultative selling skills are key, as you'll engage with prospects to help scope out integration needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guide SaaS companies in integrating their applications with Cerner via flat-file or API-based approaches.
  • Act as a technical consultant in sales conversations, helping customers understand the integration process and feasibility.
  • Leverage hands-on experience with Cerner's data structures, APIs, HL7, FHIR, and related integration tools to scope solutions.
  • Collaborate with our internal team and external stakeholders to streamline the integration process and address customer concerns.
  • Provide advisory and implementation support to ensure a smooth data exchange between SaaS applications and Cerner.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience working with Cerner integrations (hospital IT, vendor-side, or consultant experience).
  • Deep familiarity with Cerner’s backend, APIs, HL7, FHIR, and data formats for integrations.
  • Experience working in a hospital IT setting or a role where they interfaced with EHR integration challenges.
  • Strong consultative and communication skills, able to engage in sales-driven conversations with SaaS executives.
  • Comfortable working in a contract/freelance capacity with flexibility in project-based work.

Nice-to-Have

  • Prior experience working with other EHRs (Epic, Meditech, Athena, etc.).
  • Familiarity with integration middleware or interface engines (Mirth, Rhapsody, Cloverleaf).
  • Background in healthcare interoperability standards and data security best practices.

Time Commitment

We anticipate 6 - 12 months of involvement.

The recruiting process:

  • Step 1: Technical Round ( TBCl) - 60 mins
  • Step 2: Interview with CEO & VP of Engineering - 30 mins

Why Work With Us?

  • Be part of an innovative team launching a productized service in the fast-growing healthcare SaaS integration space.
  • Work directly with SaaS companies solving real interoperability challenges in healthcare.
  • Flexible, remote-friendly contract role with a strong pipeline of integration projects.
