Mark Nieuwboer is an experienced IT professional specializing in cloud architecture and infrastructure security. Currently serving as an Infrastructuur & Security Architect at Vitens since June 2021, Mark is responsible for developing and executing the IT (Cloud) Platform Strategy and Roadmap. As the owner of ICT by MEN since August 2019, Mark supports companies in their cloud transformation initiatives. Previously, Mark worked as an AWS Cloud Infrastructuur Architect at Nederlandse Spoorwegen, where contributions included assisting application teams in migrating to AWS Cloud. Mark's extensive experience also includes a position as Business Architect Cloud at Rabobank, where Mark was pivotal in implementing the AWS platform architecture. With a foundational education in Informatica from Hogeschool NOVI and extensive roles in technical leadership and consultancy, Mark demonstrates a solid background in driving cloud-centric strategies and solutions.

Vitens is het grootste drinkwaterbedrijf van Nederland. We leveren topkwaliteit drinkwater aan 5,7 miljoen mensen en bedrijven in de provincies Flevoland, Friesland, Gelderland, Utrecht en Overijssel en gemeenten in Drenthe en Noord-Holland. Met circa 1.400 medewerkers, 100 productiebedrijven en een leidingnet van 49.500 kilometer wordt jaarlijks 347 miljoen m3 water geleverd. De jaaromzet uit water bedraagt ongeveer 333 miljoen euro.
