VIVE Church
Michelle Stewart has a diverse work experience, starting with their current role as a Board Member at Ravenswood Education Foundation. In 2023, they will become the Executive Director at Hope Hangar. Prior to that, they worked at VIVE Church as the Director of Partnerships and Outreach, and before that, they were the Director of Operations and Legal Affairs. Michelle also has significant experience in the legal field, having worked as a Senior Associate at Covington & Burling LLP and an Associate in Corporate and Securities at Reed Smith LLP. Michelle began their career as a Legal Intern at the San Francisco Public Defender's Office and later worked on the Criminal and Juvenile Justice Project at the Mandel Legal Aid Clinic.
Michelle Stewart attended the International School of Beijing from 1998 to 2003. Michelle then went on to study at Duke University from 2003 to 2007, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree with a major in Psychology and minors in Chinese and Economics. After completing their undergraduate education, Michelle attended the University of Chicago Law School from 2007 to 2010, where they obtained a Doctor of Law (JD) degree.
