Samuel Aviles has extensive experience in research and manufacturing within the biomedical field. Currently serving as Manager of Reagent Manufacturing at Vizgen since June 2020, Samuel has previously held roles including Reagent Production Supervisor and Senior Research Associate. At Boston Children's Hospital/Harvard Medical School from November 2018 to May 2020, Samuel contributed to spatial transcriptomics projects focused on the gut-brain axis under the guidance of PI Jeffrey Moffitt, PhD. Prior experience includes working as a Research Technician I at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, where contributions were made to cancer immunology research, and as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Brandeis University, developing methods to study the barrel cortex in mutant mice. Samuel holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a focus on Neuroscience from Brandeis University and has participated in various summer research internships during academic studies.
