David Roise is a highly experienced legal professional with a focus on intellectual property, particularly in pharmaceutical chemistry and biotechnology. Currently a Partner at VLP Law Group LLP since March 2009, David's expertise includes the preparation and prosecution of patent applications, patent due diligence, and providing legal opinions on patentability. Prior to this role, David served as an Attorney at Ropes & Gray LLP and Fish & Neave, and held a Summer Associate position at Pennie and Edmonds. David also has a solid academic background, having been an Assistant Professor at the University of California, San Diego, and a Post-doctoral fellow at Biozentrum, University of Basel, Switzerland. David holds a JD from Stanford Law School and a PhD in Chemistry/Biochemistry from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, along with a BS in Chemistry from the University of Minnesota.
