Philip Buchanan

Philip Buchanan, FACMG, has extensive experience in the medical and academic fields, currently serving as an Adjunct Professor at The George Washington University Hospital since 1998. As Chairman of the Board of Directors for Voices Together since January 2013 and the Chairman of the Board for Vestrics since January 2001, Buchanan demonstrates leadership in various organizations. Additional roles include Consulting Director since April 2010 and a board member of The Fetal Medicine Foundation USA since 2000. Prior positions include Executive Vice President, CEO, President, and Medical Director at Alere Inc. and CEO, President, and Medical Director at Genecare Medical Genetics Center, Inc. Previously, Buchanan held multiple roles at the University of North Carolina's Department of Pediatrics from 1970 to 1983. Education includes studies at Western Carolina University, North Carolina State University, the University of Wisconsin, the University of Michigan, Harvard University, and the University of Oregon.
