Benjamin Lira

Benjamin Lira has extensive experience in the aviation and engineering sectors, currently serving as the Director of Engineering and Maintenance Planning at Volaris since March 2016. Prior to this role, Benjamin held the position of Senior Manager of Engineering and Planning at Banxico from January 2011 to February 2016. Benjamin’s career in aviation began at Mexicana de Aviación, where a notable progression of roles took place from 1989 to 2011, including Manager of Workshops, Manager of Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering Chief, Materials Planning Coordinator, and Systems/Structures/Reliability Engineer. Benjamin holds a Global MBA from Tec de Monterrey and Thunderbird (1999-2001) and a degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Instituto Politécnico Nacional (1985-1990).
