Volkswagen Financial Services South Africa (VWFS SA) was established as a legal entity in March 2014, with two shareholders: Volkswagen Financial Services Overseas AG (Germany) holding 51% and the FirstRand Group holding 49%.

VWFS SA specializes in asset-based finance, specifically providing finance and insurance solutions for customers purchasing exclusively from Volkswagen Group dealerships nationwide. We serve as the financial partner for some of the most popular and beloved vehicle brands, including Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, Bentley, and Lamborghini. Currently, we offer flexible finance and insurance solutions through several service brands: “Volkswagen Financial Services,” “Audi Financial Services,” “Porsche Financial Services,” “Bentley Financial Services,” and “Lamborghini Financial Services.”

Prior to our launch as a legal entity, the service brands “Volkswagen Financial Services” and “Audi Financial Services” were already recognized in the South African market, having operated in a joint venture with WesBank, a division of the FirstRand Group.
Over the years, we have worked diligently with our brand partners and dealer network to establish our own identity, separate from WesBank. This distinct identity is crucial to our business as a true captive, as we conduct business exclusively with our group dealerships. At VWFS SA, we aim to collaborate with our partners (brand and dealer network) not only to finance and insure customers’ vehicles but also to encourage customers to return to the dealer and the brand.
With many years of experience in the South African market and the backing of Volkswagen Financial Services Oversees AG (the financial entity of the Volkswagen Group), VWFS SA guarantees national service coverage, offering finance and insurance products to customers across the entire Volkswagen Group in South Africa.
