Stephen Bock serves as an Independent Member Federation Sanctioning Panel Member for the International Weightlifting Federation, reviewing doping cases involving member federations. As Head of Legal and General Counsel at the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball since 2015, Stephen leads legal services across various areas, including governance and anti-doping. Additional roles include Secretary of the Board of Directors at Volleyball World and Legal Consultative Group Member at ASOIF, offering legal advice on sports-related issues. Stephen has experience as an Independent Administrative Review Judge for the Union Cycliste Internationale and has been Of Counsel at Martens Rechtsanwälte, focusing on international match-fixing and doping cases. Stephen contributes to academia as a Visiting Lecturer for the FIFA Master program and recently served as a Legal Expert for the WADA Independent Observer team during the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics. Educational qualifications include a Master of Laws in International and Comparative Sports Law, as well as a Juris Doctor and Bachelor of Science in Sports Management.
