Emma McDermott

Emma McDermott serves as the UK Head of HR at Volution Group plc since November 2022. With extensive experience in human resources, Emma has previously held the role of Head of Human Resources at oHYo, focusing on health sector innovations during the Global Pandemic. Emma has also worked as Head of Human Resources at BAP Pharma, managing HR operations across the UK, Germany, and the USA for a leader in clinical trials. Prior experience includes serving as HR Business Partner for the UK and Ireland at Grünenthal Group and HR Manager positions at Asda and Mitie. Emma's early career includes roles at J W Carpenter (Cargo) and Oxford Pharmaceutical Sciences. Educational qualifications consist of a Diploma in Personnel Management and HRM from Oxford Brookes University and a BA (Hons) in Business Studies from the University of Central Lancashire.
