Matthew Hefferon

Matthew Hefferon is a Senior Production Systems Engineer at Vox Media, leading the production engineering team and managing all production infrastructure across the organization. With a strong background in broadcast engineering, Matthew has previously worked as a Senior Broadcast Engineer at Cheddar Inc., where responsibilities included maintaining live TV network technology and transitioning to remote workflows during the pandemic. Additional experience includes positions at NBCUniversal and Fox News Channel, focusing on equipment maintenance, lighting operation, and technical support. Since 2009, Matthew has also been a self-employed freelance videographer and photographer, executing a variety of projects for independent artists and small businesses. Matthew holds a BS in Film/Television Studies from Hofstra University.
