Kevin Birkel

Kevin Birkel is a seasoned business development professional with extensive experience in the optical and retail industries. Currently serving as the Senior Global Business Development Manager for VSP Optics since March 2020, Birkel focuses on strategic market growth in the Midwest region. Prior roles include RX Sun Sales Manager for Essilor's KBco Sun RX Division, where responsibilities included developing sales strategies and maintaining client relationships, and Brand Consultant for Essilor, driving market penetration for several key brands. Birkel has also held positions at Transitions Optical, managing territories and customer relationships, and has a strong foundation in business development from earlier roles at Webvan and E. & J. Gallo Winery. Birkel holds an MBA from Kent State University and a B.B.A. in Marketing from Cleveland State University.
