Gerardo Avelar has a strong background in operations and sales within the manufacturing and printing industries. Gerardo started their career as a Coord. Producción y Logística at MeadWestvaco Servicios, where they were responsible for designing and marketing multi-packaging systems. Gerardo then moved on to become the Coord Calidad y Mejora de Procesos, where they designed and implemented a Quality Management System.

Avelar then joined Grupo Gráfico San Juan as a Gerente de Operaciones, where they redesigned the business model and implemented various improvements in engineering, planning, manufacturing, and quality assurance. Gerardo later returned to the company as a Director de Operaciones, overseeing the design and execution of their System of Excellence Culture.

Following this, Avelar worked at Gemalto de México as an NPI & WCE Manager, where they were responsible for the design, manufacturing, and customization of security devices. Gerardo then joined Bobst Group Latinoamérica Norte as a Local Sales Manager, achieving sales of $7.9 million USD and developing 49 new accounts.

Currently, Avelar serves as the Regional Sales Director for Latin America at W.H. Leary Co., where they are responsible for managing sales operations in the region.

Gerardo Avelar completed a Diplomado in Six Sigma Black Belt at the Instituto Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey in 2009. Prior to that, from 1997 to 2001, they earned a degree in INGENIERO INDUSTRIAL Y DE SISTEMAS from the same institution.
