John Gilbert

John Gilbert is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in the chemical and materials industry. Currently serving as the Vice President & General Manager of Engineered Materials at W.R. Grace since January 2015, John oversees a global multi-P&L business focused on silica-based materials and manages a large team across sales, technical service, marketing, and demand management. Additionally, John has held the position of Global Business Director for Silica Gel at W.R. Grace since January 2014. Prior roles include Industry Market Development at Microsoft, Vice President of Corporate Development at Sterling Chemicals, and various leadership positions at Millennium Chemicals and Millennium Specialty Chemicals. John holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Iowa State University.
