Barry Wolmarans

Barry Wolmarans currently serves as Vice President of Services SSA at Wabtec Corporation since January 2022. In addition to this role, Barry holds a part-time position as a Flight Instructor (Grade 3) at Lanseria Flight Centre South Africa Pilot Flight Training School, starting March 2025, and previously at AVCON JET Africa from December 2024 to February 2025. Prior experience includes significant roles at GE Transportation, where Barry was the Rest of Africa Service Leader and held various leadership positions in Commercial Services and Technical Sales from 2014 to 2021. Barry's career began at J. Ray McDermott, where several engineering and management positions were held from 2007 to 2010. Educational achievements include an MBA from the University of the Witwatersrand and a BS in Aeronautical Engineering from the same institution, along with certification from GIBS Business School and Lionel University.
