Chris Mathews

Chris Mathews is an experienced data scientist and senior database administrator with a strong background in data analytics and database management. Currently serving since December 2002 at Wake County, Chris has successfully developed the data science program, identified analytics opportunities, and communicated findings to stakeholders. Previously, Chris held roles that included guiding database architecture projects and supporting over 160 applications. Chris also contributed to community initiatives as Co-Chair of CityCamp NC and On-Line Co-Chair for Relay For Life of Garner NC. Academic achievements include a Master’s in Business Analytics from the University of North Carolina Wilmington, a Bachelor of Science in Integrated Professional Studies, and an Associate's Degree in Business Analytics from Wake Technical Community College.
