Kayla Newman

Kayla Newman is an experienced Care Coordination Manager at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist, where responsibilities include providing clinical supervision to Social Workers pursuing their LCSW, supervising a team of inpatient Nurse Case Managers and Social Workers, and delivering inpatient case management for patients. With a background as an Emergency Services Clinician at Daymark Recovery Services, Kayla has expertise in assessing and treating individuals in mental health and substance use crises, employing techniques such as Dialectic Behavioral Therapy. Kayla also served as Membership Vice President for the Winston-Salem Jaycees and completed internships at American Children's Home and Genesis Abbotts Creek Skilled Nursing Facility. Kayla holds a Master of Social Work and a Bachelor of Social Work, both from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
