Andrej Apel began their work experience as a Callcenter Agent at Oliver Blödorn's Speedy Callcenter in 2002. Andrej then worked as a Freelance Press Distribution Agent at Frank Klein from May 2003 to February 2004. From July 2006 to April 2010, Andrej worked as a Maintenance and Fault Service for Electrical and Control Technology at Scholz Beton. Andrej then served as an Electrician at IMS Gütersloh from 2010 to 2012. Andrej worked as a Machine Fitter at Firma Franz Dietrich GmbH from July 2012 to February 2017. Andrej then underwent further training as an SPS Programmer with additional qualifications in E-Plan at WBS Training AG from July 2017 to January 2018. Andrej worked as a Programmer at FRAIMTEC GmbH from January 2018 to March 2022. Currently, they are employed as a Robotics Engineer at Wandelbots starting from March 2022.
From 2005 to 2010, Andrej Apel attended Kirovohrad National Technical University, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Automatisierungstechnik/Techniker.

Wandelbots is a german start-up that is democratizing industrial robotics by enabling everyone to program any robot via smart input devices and example-based teaching. The Wandelbots software backend tracks human motion to live-control industrial robots. Operators can teach automation tasks by demonstration. The software backend builds a machine learning model based on several demonstrations and generates automation workflows which can be refined and optimized with the software tool.
